aileenPEPY is represented as part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme through the PEPY Special Interest Group (aka SIG).  Jo Aylor has served as the PEPY Sig president since its inception, but she is off to grad school, so we now welcome Aileen Cameron as our new PEPY Sig president.  Welcome Aileen!

Hey!
My name is Aileen Cameron and I am the PEPY AJET Sig President. I live in Ehime Prefecture and this is my 3rd year as a JET. I became involved in PEPY this year on an Experiential Tour in Northern Cambodia and it was a really inspirational and enlightening experience. I gained so much from that trip, and met such amazing and awe-inspiring people, and really hope that you can all have similar experiences in your future involvement with PEPY.

The PEPY AJET Sig is a great place to find information about PEPY events in Japan, share ideas on how to fundraise, discuss ways to incorporate PEPY and global issues into your teaching, round up troops for events you want to hold, ask questions, voice your concerns, share your thoughts, and much more.  JET and PEPY have a very close bond since the original founders of PEPY were once JETs themselves and so through the PEPY AJET Sig we can continue to strengthen that bond.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at ajetsig@pepyride.org or join and let me know if you would like to join our AJET Sig Google Group!  Hope to see you as part of our PEPY team here in Japan or in Cambodia some time soon!

Aileen
