Cambodian New Year will be starting soon, and since this provides such a great opportunity for our staff and interns to travel, we’ve been thinking a lot about our past adventures, and we’d like to pose a question to you:

What is the most exotic food that you've eaten while traveling?  It could be delicious, it could be disgusting, or it could just be different.  Let us know!

This month, the winner will receive an Eagle Creek Wallaby!

"This tri-fold toiletry kit has plenty of pockets and compartments for all of your personal care items; packs perfectly inside your main luggage or your carry-on bag and includes a swivel hook for easy hanging."

While in Northern Thailand, of group of us sampled the fried meal worms and scorpions at a local market. Although to be fair, these were easier to eat then digging into a durian...that smell!!

While in Japan dining with a few fellow teachers our next course was placed in front of us. It was a basket that was in a bowl filled with water. We all looked around not sure what it was. One of the teachers piped up and asked what it was. The response was "dancing fish." As we peered into the basket we saw SIX fish about two inches or so SWIMMING AROUND. We were told to take them out of the bowl with the chopsticks soak them in the wasabi and soy sauce and then promptly let them dance down our throats. It was a challenging task to get them into the wasabi as they liked to dance out of it. I must admit I did enjoy them dancing down my throat and actually helped another teacher finish hers.

Oaxaca,Mexico. Fried grasshopper was the appetizer that was presented to the group. They were tiny little grasshoppers. Fried in a spicy sauce. You wrapped them up like a taco in a mini corn tortilla. In an effort to not be rude I ate two soft grasshopper tacos. They weren't bad but the little guys would get stuck between your cheek and gum, weird!
